Timeshare?

This may not be the most authentic way to travel, but here are some options for lodgings if we are interested. David's parents have a timeshare and RCI is an affiliate-  we can usually get a 3-room, 2-bath "condo" with a kitchen and washer/dryer for around $100 per night under his account.  The ones we have been to have always been clean, but pretty generic and filled with Americans, I'm sure.  Some of them, however, look like they are local villas being managed by RCI (like this beauty). Anyway, here is a list of the Italian locations.  I can get more details if we are interested, but they usually require early bookings (1.5 yrs in advance).

  1. That villa looks amazing! The apartment in Venice also looks great. I think if we just avoid the big hotels then it would be a great option. I'm all for going low cost on housing so we can eat well and enjoy the sites, the cities and country are beautiful enough that as long as there is a working shower and a clean bed I'm good. Plus the washer would be great so we can pack light. Let's discuss!
